About

CREST's main objective is to establish Indiana University (IU) as the national leader in the field of high-capability graph computing systems and applications. This emerging discipline holds great promise for dramatic impact through innovative research and development in science, industry, commerce, and defense-related domains with significant opportunity for invention of intellectual property.

CREST is affiliated with the School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering (SICE) and the IU Pervasive Technology Institute.

Leadership

Executive director, Center for Research in Extreme Scale Technologies (CREST)

Dr. Thomas Sterling is executive director of the Center for Research in Extreme Scale Technologies, and professor of informatics and computing at Indiana University. He also is an adjunct professor at the Louisiana State University Center for Computation and Technology, and CSRI Fellow at Sandia National Laboratories.

Establishing Indiana University as the national leader in the field of high-capability graph computing systems and applications
