The HathiTrust Research Center: Exploring the Full-Text Frontier |
The work of the HathiTrust Research Center (HTRC), led by Indiana University and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, has enabled a contextualized usage of the metadata plus the full text of the entire corpus—an approach described by many in the digital humanities as distant reading. The HTRC is pooling resources that operate above any one campus, in order to create a shared service that can be used by all.

If you work in data-intensive biomedical research, there is no better place than the Galaxy Community Conference 2016 (GCC16) to present your work and to learn from others. The conference will include keynotes, oral presentations, poster sessions, birds-of-a-feather meetups, exhibitors, and plenty of networking opportunities. There will also be three days of pre-conference activities, including hackathons and training.

XSEDE16 Student Program and Scientific Visualization Showcase |
Undergraduate and graduate students who are working on research projects that use XSEDE resources, campus-level resources or other cyberinfrastructure are invited to submit technical papers and posters. A limited number of student travel grants may be available for XSEDE16. Volunteers are encouraged to apply. Vis Showcase abstracts are due May 13.
