| Noteworthy | | | | Summer Olympic Games visualized on Science on a Sphere | Starting in 1896, the modern Olympic Games have grown from 14 participating countries to 204 in 2012 (with a record 207 participating in 2016). Cyberinfrastructure for Digital Humanities group (CyberDH) and the Advanced Visualization Lab (AVL) have created a dataset that visualizes the history of the Summer Olympic Games. It can be viewed in the CIB and is available world-wide on NOAA's Science on a Sphere Users Collaborative Network. Read more |
